Launch of the North Shore Investment Network

Enterprise North Shore is taking expressions of interest from investors, finance professionals and businesses, for the launch of a North Shore Business Investment Network. This follows a successful Capital Raising workshop held in June that highlighted the contribution an Investment Network would make for investors and for businesses looking for local capital.

A North Shore Business Investment Network is seen as a logical step for North Shore growing local economy. The network will hold regular events on the North Shore and provide services that will bring together:
• Local, attractive and growing businesses looking for investment
• Local investors that are seeking individual and collaborative investment opportunities
• Local business professionals that can make it all happen.

Enterprise North Shore will facilitate the Network and make its full range of services available, including connections with government assistance and training programmes, grant applications and mentors. The e-centre Ltd has agreed to be a partner in this initiative. Network events will be held where:
• Ideas, aspirations and questions can be aired and answered
• Expert practitioners provide insights, advice and inspiration
• Entrepreneurs have the opportunity to pitch their business ideas to investors
• Investors can share experiences and find new opportunities to work together
• New investors can learn from experienced investors
• Entrepreneurs can learn how to prepare and present a winning pitch.

We expect to hold our first event in September 2006.
