Window company wins marketing award

Standing out from its competition has won a Silverdale company the top marketing award at the Westpac Auckland North Business Awards.

Windowmakers Ltd, one of Auckland’s largest manufacturers of aluminium joinery windows and doors, won the Actionmail Excellence in Marketing Award.

Judges were impressed by Windowmakers’ marketing which ensures they stand out from the crowd in a competitive industry, in particular its purpose built showroom demonstrating the company’s full range of products as working models.

This is the second year in a row that Windowmakers has been recognised in the Westpac Auckland North Business Awards.

“Winning the Blackcat Consulting Employer of Choice Award in 2010 really emphasised to us that what we are doing here at Windowmakers is unique, fun and hugely successful,” says spokesperson Debbie Greenwood.

“At the time of judging in 2010, the judges listed some opportunities we could seize to do things even better so it made complete sense for us to again enter the awards this year. It is another tool to help us define what we are doing, refine, improve and celebrate what we call ‘The Windowmakers Way’.

“We are committed to delighting our customers with our quality aluminium joinery, service, value and innovation at every step. Our Design Centre, where customers can come in and experience the difference of our joinery, is the largest of its kind in New Zealand.”

Manager Business Development – North for Auckland Tourism, Events and Economic Development, Ngaio Merrick, is impressed with Windowmakers’ success.

“Effective marketing is crucial for businesses. Windowmakers proves that even in a competitive market it is possible to stay ahead of the game if your marketing is on target,” says Ms Merrick.

The annual Westpac Auckland North Business Awards celebrates excellence in the local business community and honours successful companies across 12 awards categories.
