Eligibility and Conditions

Who can enter?

Any size business in the Auckland north area is eligible to enter.
Entrants must have been trading for 12 months or more as at 31 March 2011.
To qualify for entry into the Best Startup Business category, a business must have begun trading after 31 March 2008 and have been trading for at least 12 months as at 31 March 2011.
For the Emerging Business Award a business must have begun trading between 31 March 2005 and 30 March 2008, so effectively have been trading for between three and six years.
If your organisation is part of a larger organisation you must be able to demonstrate that you function as a separate business unit.
If you won a 2010 Westpac Enterprise North Shore Business Excellence Award (as they were previously known) you are eligible to enter any category other than the category you won in 2010.
If you won the 2010 Westpac Supreme Business Excellence Award you are not eligible to enter the Awards in 2011.
The awards are not open to employees or officers of Westpac, Auckland Council, Auckland Tourism, Events and Economic Development, sponsors or other supporting partners of the awards.
We place high value on these awards. Applicants must disclose any issues that may compromise the integrity of the awards or cause the business to discontinue in the next year. These issues may include legal action, law changes, possible loss of funding, or other risks.

Each business may enter up to three catergories
All entries must be recieved by 5pm on Thursday 2 June 2011. Send your entry to the Awards Co-ordinator.
All businesses must complete a business profile and media statement following the template provided.
Entries must follow criteria set for each catergory in the format provided on the template for that category .
All entries should be less than 1MB in total, with up to 2MB supporting documentation.
