Any size business in North Shore City or Rodney is eligible to enter.
Entrants must have been trading for 12 months or more as at 31 March 2010.
To qualify for entry into the Best New Start-up Business category, a business must have begun trading after 31 March 2007 and have been trading for at least 12 months as at 31 March 2010.
For the Emerging Business Award a business must have begun trading between 31 March 2004 and 30 March 2007, so effectively have been trading for between three and six years.
If your organisation is part of a larger organisation you must be able to demonstrate that you function as a separate business unit.
If you won a 2009 Westpac Enterprise North Shore Business Excellence Award you are eligible to enter any category other than the category you won in 2009.
If you won the 2009 Westpac Supreme Business Excellence Award you are not eligible to enter the Awards in 2010.
The awards are not open to employees or officers of Westpac, Enterprise North Shore, North Shore City Council, Rodney District Council, sponsors or other supporting partners of the Westpac Enterprise North Shore Business Excellence Awards.
Enterprise North Shore place high value on these awards. Applicants must disclose any issues that may compromise the integrity of the awards or cause the business to discontinue in the next year. These issues may include legal action, law changes, possible loss of funding, or other risks.
